PHOTOS for Midnight, Texas 2.02 “The Monster of the Week is Patriarchy”

NBC released the photos for Midnight, Texas episode 2.02, titled “The Monster of the Week is Patriarchy“. There are some minor spoilers here if you haven’t seen the season premiere yet, so proceed with caution!

We’ll start with the actual “monster of the week”. Marissa Cuevas guest stars in this episode as Dawnette, who appears to be an exotic dancer. Our gateway to discussing the patriarchy, yes? The official synopsis for this episode doesn’t talk about her specifically, but it does mention that Olivia and Lem’s psychic connection is becoming problematic. We can see that they are involved with Dawnette’s storyline, probably as defenders at least on Olivia’s end, so perhaps they aren’t in synch about how to handle whatever is happening?

Remember how the hotel is full of ghosts? The second major storyline in this episode involves Manfred helping Kai and Patience solve a murder and expel a ghost from their new business. Based on these photos, it looks like Manfred and Patience are getting very comfortable with each other, no?

Our single shot of Bobo and Fiji is ominous. All of Fiji’s plants are dead, and we know she’s got that magical green thumb, so this must be the result of an external, angry power. And, according to the episode description, it’s out to get Bobo.

Midnight, Texas airs Fridays at 9/8c on NBC.

I'm a looooong time fan of Charlaine Harris and her novels. In 2008, I launched the first and (what became) largest True Blood fansite at True-Blood.net. When I heard that Midnight, Texas was in development back in January 2016, I immediately started planning a new fansite and eagerly awaited the show's premiere. Welcome!
